Fashion Island's StyleWeekOC Recap
What a whirlwind weekend! We spent ours down in Orange County for Fashion Island's StyleWeekOC event, and it was two days of fashionable fun! From the best tips we heard from our chic panelists to the contents of our always-fabulous gift bags, we're recapping all the highlights from the event:
FRIDAY

The weekend kicked off with the "Current Trends on Home Decorating" panel on Friday evening, moderated by our very own Sarah Boyd! The panel included event designer Jesi Haack, floral designer Carissa Jones, and Sweet & Saucy Shop co-owner Melody Brandon, and discussed everything from how to throw a fabulous dinner party to their most ingenious home entertaining DIY hacks. With all their tips, we're definitely ready to start hosting more dinner parties!
After the panel, guests made their way to Brooks Brothers, Johnny Was, Rodd & Gunn, Travis Mathew, and Vineyard Vines for food and drinks, music, and great shopping deals. Speaker Joey Maalouf greeted shoppers at Brooks Brothers and showed guests how to style the latest menswear trends.
SATURDAY
Saturday's festivities kicked off with a VIP luncheon for our speakers and guests at Fig & Olive. It was the perfect opportunity for our speakers to mingle and get to know each other better before the big event. Lunch attendees were also treated to a mid-meal fashion show, with models wearing the latest fall trends featuring clothing from Fashion Island stores.
Of course our speakers had to arrive to the panel stage in style, so it was all aboard the Fashion Island Trolley!

First off was our fashion panel! Our experts shared their top styling tips as well as their predictions on the hottest fall trends. According to our panelists, expect to see plenty of plaid, jewel tones, and bold personal style.

Next up was our home panel. From lifestyle bloggers to furniture store owners, we had an incredible group of panelists who knew a thing or two about how to decorate a home in style. We're already thinking of ways to add velvet touches and metallic pieces to our homes, thanks to the advice of these lovely ladies!

For the last panel, our beauty panelists had so many great makeup tips and DIY hacks. We're glad we had our StyleWeekOC notepads and pens, because we were writing all of their recommendations down!
All the while, we had so many fun activations going on throughout Fashion Island! Guests were able to receive complimentary beauty treatments, including hair curling from The Nordstrom Blow Bar, eye makeup application from Macy's Impulse Beauty Department, manicures from Kendra Scott, and braiding from Toni & Guy Hairdressing.
Fashion Island's own personal stylist, Sarah Aplanalp, and panelist Daniel Musto, were at the fashion vignette showing guests how they style outfits and giving shoppers one-on-one advice on how to make the most of their wardrobes.
At the home vignette, guests received plenty of decor inspiration thanks to the beautiful tablescapes designed by Anthropologie & Co., Z Gallerie, and Found Rentals, Jesi Haack Design, JL Designs and Sweet & Saucy Shop.
After the panels, it was time to shop 'til we dropped! Some of our speakers hosted shopping parties at Fashion Island's stores, including Alice + Olivia, Anthropologie & Co., BCBG, Elie Tahari, Joie, Rebecca Taylor, and VINCE. While browsing the latest styles and receiving fabulous discounts, shoppers were able to snack on delicious treats, take photo booth pictures, and meet their favorite fashion influencers. Brandi Cyrus aka DJ Confetti kept the party going with her fun DJ set. There was even a surprise appearance from her little sis, Noah Cyrus and mom Tish who came to support.
Of course, it's not a SIMPLY event without gift bags! The first 50 attendees to RSVP and check-in on either day walked away with StyleWeekOC bags filled to the brim with beauty and lifestyle products. Thank you so much to all our wonderful gift bag brands, including:
