We enlisted the best of the best to share her secrets for balancing it all and managing stress, and she just so happens to be our hostess for the upcoming Simply Stylist New York 2016 Fashion & Beauty Conference: renowned E! News host, Catt Sadler! Catt Sadler is an Emmy-winning journalist, philanthropist, creator of the wildly popular lifestyle blog theCATTWALK, and still manages to be a rock star mom to her two sons, Austin and Arion! Juggling several things at once isn’t easy, but with a little diligence, focus, and advice from someone who does it on daily basis, you'll be on your way in no time. In anticipation of #SimplyStylistNY, we chatted with Catt about minimizing stress, life mantras, multitasking, and more!

SS: You're a host on E! News, a mother, philanthropist, and more. How do you juggle it all?! In 2016, we are all incredibly busy creatures! I have a sensational support system, I make tons of lists in “notes” on my iPhone, i-Cal is essential, and without hot yoga I would fall apart. When I feel the walls caving in from the frenetic pace, I like to step outside. Literally. Nature always restores me.

SS: What are 5 apps that make your life easier?

  • Postmates: Gamechanger. I used to skip meals I was so busy.
  • Soothe: Massage in my home at the end of a stressful day. Sensational!
  • Uber: Duh.
  • Voxer: Why text when you can talk and record your requests to assistants and kids? You can also go back and replay messages if the context or contents of message escapes you later!
  • Net-a-Porter: Shop the most glamorous arrivals on the market in one cohesive spot. This app memorizes my likes and tastes and is forever suggesting other IT items that I want in my closet.

SS: What's your secret for managing stress? Stress is debilitating. It is so bad for our health. I try and exercise (hot yoga and running). I try to take an assortment of vitamins and probiotics (Moon Dust, fish oil pills, cayenne pepper pills, turmeric). When lights are out, I protect sleep like it is a child. Almost 8 hours, cool temperature, fan on, no distractions. I even almost religiously use a sleep oil at night that I swear does wonders! (Luna Sleeping Night Oil Sunday Riley). Beyond that, I breathe. If I feel my chest tightening or tension in my neck and head, I literally stop what I am doing and change my breathing with a little mediation. Anytime, anywhere.

SS: What are 3 life mantras you live by? 1. Fully expect in your mind what you want to attract into your life. We are our thoughts. 2. Empathy is one of the most important virtues to making the world go ‘round. We don’t know what others are going through. Our experiences may be different but at the end of the day we all want to be loved just the same. Open your heart and practice compassion consistently. 3. Keep going, keep falling in love, keep not giving up. There’s always goodness on the other side of pain. Always.
